Well, it is not absolutely happening to me but if ever that would happen (of course but I hope not), honestly maybe I shock and disown with him/her.

I would not fit to be called a parent, I would accept them for whom they are. If she/he is happy then I should be happy as well and as a parent would not be ashamed for what they become.

Almost parents feel exactly the same way. Whatever their children’s sexual orientation is does not matter at all. Parents will always be their babies and will always love and support them no matter what.

All parents do not pray for such an occurrence and if such a thing eventually happened then will probably council him or her. But if parents realized the case is beyond councils then will try prayer and if that will not work also.

Son or daughter become gay, maybe was not the child’s fault. In fact I have heard that sexual orientation is influenced by genes. So it means it is hereditary.

Meanwhile, some parents do not understand why people make such a big deal about this. It is not as if they have a choice, it is how they physically feel and that is that.

But, if parents respond that with disowning or prayer is not going to change the way the person feels. It’s not going to change anything but the parents relationship. Would a parent chooses to be absent from a child life because they are gay?
